The second beta version of my port of "The Macro Implementation of
SNOBOL4 for Un*x", a port of the orginal SNOBOL4 language system to
systems with C compilers is now available. I have fixed many
problems, improved performance and added man features since the beta1
release in February.
In the spirit of the SNOBOL and ICON projects, the source code is
available without copyright restrictions.
The files are available by anonymous ftp from;
cs.arizona.edu: /snobol4/budne
alpha.gnu.ai.mit.edu: /budne/snobol
Here is the README file available from those locations;

SNOBOL4/SPITBOL features) than beta1 release.
